Above is an album sleeve designed by Alex Steinweiss, in 1938 Steinweiss invented the concept of album sleeve artwork. This idea revolutionised the record industry and has led the way for many other great designers to visually express music on the cover of albums. I found the example of his work above stood out to me most because of its use of composition, photography and basic college which combine to create a stylish and effective cover.
